Wilkinson Communications and Consulting Inc. (WCC) has served many clients in a wide variety of industries, since it’s creation in 2004.

WCC founder and president, Virginia Wilkinson has more than 20 years experience in the communications/marketing sector.

Virginia began her career as a television, radio, magazine, and print journalist in Saskatchewan and Alberta. She worked at CTV Regina, CFRN TV Edmonton, CKCK Radio (Regina), and free-lanced for the Regina Leader-Post, Saskatchewan Business magazine, and a number of national television news programs.

Following her media career she worked in a variety of different senior management communications roles in the public sector, including Director of Communications and Public Education with Saskatchewan Social Services, Director of Communications and Business Development with Saskatchewan Health Information Network (SHIN), Communications Counselor for Executive Council within the Saskatchewan government and media relations consultant for Saskatchewan’s provincial Cabinet.

She opened her own communications consulting agency in 2004. Since its creation, Wilkinson Communications has provided strategic and effective communications services to numerous corporate clients from across a wide range of sectors.

Virginia has extensive corporate communications experience in the areas of: media relations; strategic communications planning; project management; issues management; government relations; community/public relations; crisis management; special event planning and document development and writing.

She has a B.A. in Journalism and Communications, a B.Sc. in Biochemistry, and received her accreditation with the International Association of Business Communicators in 1999.
